That is one cute tractor! I let my parsnips go to seed years ago and have hundreds every year; saves on the direct seeding/keeping wet craziness! Some of the kale is too tough for my teeth, but I made some broth out of it and that turned out real good with garlic and onions. Thank you for everything!

We've been loving our first CSA delivery - we didn't get a garden this year as we were busy moving, and I love having fresh, local vegetables in the fridge. I cut the squash into 2" strips last week and roasted it in the oven (drizzled with olive oil and honey and sprinkled with coarse salt) and it was delicious - the skin on those is so tender, I just ate it right with the squash pieces! Tonight we had roasted broccoli, cauliflower, and potatoes with olive oil and parmesan cheese and that was amazing too - those potatoes are so creamy and flavorful - I hope you have more for the next drop! :)

Wow! Thank you for the great stories of all the TLC & adventures that went into getting the food out to us today! I just finished eating my own fall crops and have been looking forward to the CSA. I appreciate the labor & love that goes into the farming. Congrats on a job well done! Bon Appetit!

Beautiful Essay. I loved reading it. Although I haven't been up to Yale Creek for a long time, your essay brought back fond memories of a good friend of mine John, who had a tree house way up Yale creek. He passed away suddenly and recently too. I will have to make a trip up there soon.

Hi! I live out in Williams and I am interested in having a CSA share. I am curious roughly how much produce we would receive each week? Also, it would only work for us if there was a local drop off. I was not able to find the registration form. If you could email me that and info requested i'd appreciate it.

Hey,
Sounds like a great class you held/took (I couldn't understand whether you were a student/teacher/host). Who taught the business class, and what was the actual title of the class? Sounds like a short, sweet, and informative one.
I'm going to nursing school at the moment, and planning to work in this field for a couple of years in order to raise farming funds. I can't imagine throwing myself into farming without significant start up funds. I'm super happy to hear that you're making it work for you!
Congrats!

Dear Melissa, Josh, Everett and Baby Ava,

Our family is really loving being part of your CSA this winter. Thank you for all of your hard work, especially in the midst of a new baby (welcome Ava)...We are loving the great recipes and return to fun foods like rutabagas, which we tend to forget sometimes. Our thanks for helping keep us stocked in healthy food and having fun cooking it new ways. See you soon at the market again...Warmly, Davis, Matt, Tate & Cyrus

Hi Farmers,
Thanks for the veggies. This has really been nice for us. We're a little overwhelmed by carrots, but are hoping to have a juicing party soon with some friends. Having fresh greens has been lovely.
Can you say a little more about being on your 2011 crew? What is the time frame, work schedule, compensation, etc.?
Also, one of our batches of potatoes were really bruised looking inside. You could hardly tell from the outside, but when cutting into them, it looked either bruised or maybe there was some kind of fungus? It was a bummer.
Lastly, just wanted to pass on a website with great recipes that is all about using your CSA-it is called StrightFromTheFarm.
Thank you for your hard work,
Mary Ann and David

P.S. No worries on the cabbage. We've been enjoying the savoy-try savoy, mustard seeds, dried red pepper, some milk, broth, mixed in with pasta and baked for a little while with plenty of gruyere-yum!
